My submission for the Screeners 2012 Epic Movie Poster contest. Had a lot less time to work on it than I wouldíve liked, but Iím happy with the overall result. I was going for the 70ís disaster movie vibe the brief clearly suggested, so went for the bombastic visual and over-explanatory tagline which seemed to be the norm. I wanted to include another common feature, the strip of small portrait images showing off the all-star cast, but ran out of time.

All imagery was hand drawn, scanned in, and painted in Photoshop.

And for this effort, he was awarded Best Poster - First place by a panel of 11 diverse judges. ( Suggested by Slippery-Jack and Featured by princepal )

Hey, I thought that maybe this coincidence could be as funny and enjoyable to you as it was to me.
The thing is, I made this game on college back in 2008, and it pretty much IS the game to this movie =D
Give it a try if you(or anyone reading this) have the chance: [link]

This game is not my best work, so it's quite hard at times.
Gotta keep running! =D Thanks for checking it!

First of all, congrats!!! Beautifully planned and executed, and I totally agree with the comment from the Daily Deviation, you totally captured the "disaster movie" feel with it! The colour work is just gorgeous! Also, I love that you incorporated the title into the drawing, and I think that compostion-wise it works great this way (without the strip of small portraits of the actors that you didn't have the time to draw)-- totally deserved of Best Poster!!!

I like how the woman in the brown bikini on the far left is like, "Awwww Yeaaah!"
